Denmark sends medical team to the USA in response to increased interest in Greenland¶
/EN/ COPENHAGEN (INA) - February 26, 2026 - The Danish government announced it will deploy specialized medical teams to Washington and Florida in response to renewed interest in Greenland. “We believe in preventive care, particularly when it comes to politically very active senior state officials,” an unnamed source in Copenhagen said. The program, titled Operation Golden Age, will focus on cognitive fitness support, responsible globe handling, and the management of impulsive geographic decisions. Danish authorities emphasized that the mission is strictly humanitarian in nature and does not constitute any form of territorial counter-offer.
