Donald Trump Declares Himself Emperor, Renames the United States the Land of Donald Trump¶
/EN/ WASHINGTON (INA) - September 21, 2026. U.S. President Donald Trump today announced a fundamental change to the constitutional order of the United States. Effective immediately, he declared himself Emperor and announced that the country would henceforth be known as the Land of Donald Trump.
“The United States was a good name. A very good name. But it has been around for a long time, and it was created by people most Americans have never met,” Trump said during a ceremonial address. “The Land of Donald Trump is more modern, more beautiful, and everyone immediately knows who it belongs to.”
Under the new imperial decree, the White House is to be renamed Trump Imperial Palace, while the presidential seal will be replaced by a new national emblem featuring a golden letter T, an eagle, and two golf clubs.
The changes will also affect geographical names. Washington, D.C. will become Trump City, the Atlantic Ocean will be shown on U.S. maps as the Trump Atlantic, and federal agencies have been instructed to determine whether the names of certain foreign continents could be “substantially improved.”
The new imperial administration also announced the establishment of a Department of Great Names, which will gradually review the names of U.S. states, cities, mountains, rivers, and federal institutions.
Asked by reporters whether the United States could legally be renamed by presidential decree, the new Emperor replied: “When you’re Emperor, it’s very simple.”
Canada, Mexico, and Denmark have so far declined to formally comment on the announcement. Denmark’s Ministry of Health merely confirmed that the medical teams assigned to Operation Golden Age remain on standby.
